NUS scores sustainability milestone with completion of landmark solar power project across campus
The campus-wide solar photovoltaic installation project with a capacity of 9.2 megawatt-peak will generate renewable energy that will meet approximately four per cent of the University’s total electricity consumption, and reduce its carbon footprint by more than 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
In a bid for greater transparency in sustainability reporting, NUS is also tokenising green bond data in a pilot with Nothern Trust and UOB.
