Sustainability is woven into the fabric of undergraduate education at NUS. Students can tailor their sustainability journey, depending on whether they want a broad grounding or deep expertise.
NUS offers seven majors, 22 second majors and minors, and 35 specialisations, with specialisations adding extra depth for those who want to go further within their main course of study.
In total, there are more than 530 courses that build green capabilities in four progressive levels: starting with a basic understanding of sustainability, then moving to cross-sector and cross-functional skills, followed by sector- and function-specific knowledge, and finally advanced competencies for emerging industries.
Students can begin with a wide-angle view through common curriculum modules, then deepen their learning by stacking choices across majors, second majors, minors, specialisations and unrestricted electives – spanning relevant disciplines from science and engineering to business and social sciences.
