Commitment

As a leading global university based in Asia and Singapore’s flagship university, NUS is committed to advancing sustainable development and contributing to the global fight against climate change.

University Sustainability and Climate Action Council

Building on its long-standing involvement and continued momentum in sustainability, NUS has responded to the increasing urgency of climate change through the University Sustainability and Climate Action Council. The current Council is chaired by Prof Low Teck Seng, Senior Advisor to the NUS President. It is composed of faculty and staff, and aims to integrate the various activities across Education, Research, Innovation and Enterprise, Campus Operations and Administration and Community Engagement to catalyse solutions for a more sustainable future. It will guide and shape policies and programmes that will transform how the University generates new knowledge, equips graduates with future-ready skills and develops a climate resilient campus.

Collectively, NUS will shape the future of sustainability and climate action in an impactful way.
