NUS taps into international networks to promote sustainability and share best practices. It is a member of a number of international networks including those listed below.
The International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), established in 2006, is a network of 11 international research-intensive universities from 9 countries across the globe. The eleven members share similar values, a global vision and a commitment to educating future world leaders. Central to these values is the importance of academic diversity and international collaboration as reflected in IARU's principles.
The ISCN, which was founded in 2007, is a higher education and sustainability network consisting of 101 leading colleges and universities from 32 countries. It aims to provide an international forum to support higher education institutions in the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices for achieving sustainable campus operations and integrating sustainability in research and teaching.
The Climate Alliance, established in 2020, provides a central hub for universities to share the latest climate research with the public and enable greater collaboration between leading research teams, supporting global leaders, policy makers and industry in planning for and responding to climate change.
