Climate Change and Sustainability 101 for Public Officers

Overview

CNCS launched its inaugural Sustainability 101 Course for Policy Officers in 2022 in collaboration with the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS), Prime Minister’s Office Strategy Group, and NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) Global. Sustainability 101 is symbolic of a “whole-of-nation” sustainability movement to create a robust green talent pipeline as enshrined in the Singapore Green Plan 2030. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between NUS and NCCS, for 8 runs of the course in 2022-2024.

In 2025, the NUS Sustainability Academy is partnering with the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment to organise 3 runs of the revamped Climate Change and Sustainability 101 Course for Public Officers in 2025, targeted at government officers interested to gain a broad overview of climate and sustainability efforts across Singapore.

The course provided practical tips and solutions for individuals and organisations to play their part in tackling climate change, and I would recommend this course to anyone looking to learn more about the urgent need for climate action and what we can do to make a difference."
