Our Courses Focus On

1_Education

Sustainability Education

CET programmes at the NUS Sustainability Academy go beyond climate and sustainability science — we also equip individuals with tools, evidence-backed knowledge and actionable research from our interdisciplinary pool of researchers in nature-based solutions, the wider NUS ecosystem and industry experts.

2_Building

Capacity Building

Our CET programmes cement a broader national effort by Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to build a robust green talent pipeline. For example, in our Climate Change and Sustainability 101 Course for Policy Officers, policymakers learn to grasp relevant climate science and public policy tools, fostering actionable knowledge in their relevant domains and workstreams.

3_Programmes

Customised Programmes

Our CET programmes are holistics capacity-building pedagogical experiences that aim to train and inspire individuals to become changemakers in their capacities. We enable organisations to develop sustainability capabilities across different fields to prepare for a net-zero future.

4_Hub

Carbon Services Hub

We provide training for organisations to understand developments in regional and international carbon marketplaces, especially carbon project development, carbon financing, measuring, reporting and verification (MRV), and carbon trading.

Professional Certificate in Carbon Services and Trading

Through 8 days of dialogues with academia, industry and government representatives, participants will be equipped with industry-relevant insights to the latest trends in carbon market development, project development considerations and scientific methodologies and technologies for carbon measurements.

They will also gain insights on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and the eligibility criteria for Singapore’s International Carbon Credit (ICC) Framework, which are imperative for professionals working in carbon services and trading sector.

This programme is developmed and delivered by the NUS Sustainability and its network of industry experts and supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB).
